countdown
Now that I only have ten days remaining in Beijing I want to make sure I don’t waste that time. There is a tour of the Summer Palace this weekend, I’m making plans to eat at the donkey restaurant, I still want to try cupping, and of course I intend on visiting the Great Wall next week… but what else is there left to do? If anybody reading this has been here, what do you recommend? If you haven’t been here, what would be the first things you would want to do if you were here? What do people think of when they think of Beijing? What kind of things are you curious about? When I return to the US are people going to be asking me “Did you go here? Did you try this?” I want to be able to answer yes to as many of those questions as I can, so help me fill my calendar!

Only 10 days left… gosh.. Have u explored the Hou Hai area? Full of cute little shops and great small restos. There’s this resto called 10m2 that I’ve written about in my blog (they mainly do spicy BBQ) which is great, but unfortunately I don’t have the address for it… I only know it is located in that lake area.
Temple of Heaven is quite nice too. And the Summer palace, forbidden city and great wall are ‘must dos’. Although if u visit the great Wall, try to avoid Badaling.. the most touristy part.
Except for that… I think I would spend most of the time eating…!!
That’s just me though -I love my food! Visit small restos and order loads of veggies, dumplings, egg-tomato stirr fry, chicken, ribs and mmmmm… just enjoy!!

SHE – I have only been to the Hou Hai area once, and all we did was have a few drinks so I haven’t checked out any of the restaurants or shops. I have heard you mention 10m2 a couple of times now, so I am making plans to go! Thanks so much for commenting, I am taking all your advice to heart.
